CAL12 Series – Programmable Force, Position & Velocity!
The CAL12 series of Electric Cylinder range has been designed to offer a long life cycle and much more precise and repeatable force control and positioning, and are the first linear motors to challenge conventional LVDT devices. The CAL12 series are compact yet robust; they are manufactured from high-grade stainless steel with a minimum wall thickness of 1.5mm. Due to the innovative design and construction, cylinder acceleration of up to 10Gs can be achieved, and they have been designed to offer a life expectancy of circa 100 million+ cycles as a minimum.

Carlo Gavazzi is proud to introduce its expanded line of three-phase power supplies.
The SPD Series 3-Phase Switch-Mode Power Supplies are offered in 120, 240, 480 and 960 watt outputs, with an adjustable 24 VDC output voltage. Besides the 24VDC output type, some models offer the option of a 12 or 48VDC output. The power supplies provide up to 93% efficiency, and offer a wide Input Voltage Range of 340 – 575 VAC and 480 – 820 VDC.
The power supplies also install quickly by snapping them onto DIN rail. Power Factor Correction is standard on all models, and Parallel Connection is standard on most models, other than the 120W type. Outputs are protected against short circuits, overvoltage, and overload conditions. LEDs provide, and annunciate, onboard diagnostics and power source “ON”, while the Power Ready Output Relay signals the presence, or lack of proper 24 VDC output power. Carlo Gavazzi SPD Three Phase Power Supplies may be used with Single or Bi-Phase input power sources, in such instances there is a modest derating of the output power.

These are the latest innovations added to our expanding V10 family of amplifiers and exemplify the versatility STM is known for. The V10 analog amplifiers offer a dramatic improvement over the V8 design and are compatible with all STM MICROmote® – sensors. The addition of a digital display allows the user much more insight on the different aspects of an application and takes all the guess work out of sensor calibration and troubleshooting. Mitsubishi Electric Automation is pleased to announce the D700 Series, it is designed to replace one of the world’s best selling micro inverters, the S500E, and has substantial improvements in both performance and features.
Among the D700’s innovations are:
Improved speed range. 150% or more motor torque is now possible at 1Hz using General Purpose Magnetic Flux Vector control, giving a smooth open loop speed range of 60:1.
More interoperability. The D700 communications include Modbus RTU as well as Mitsubishi’s own RS 485 programming protocol (supported as standard).
Remote operation. Drive I/O can be remotely operated over any supported network, regardless of what the drive is doing.
Control Terminal Spring Clamps. By utilizing this design, the installation process is simplified. If ferrules are used, no tools are required when making the connection.
Easy mounting. In smaller panel spaces, the D700 can be “bookshelf’ mounted without a gap in between, and DIN Rail mounting is also possible.
100kA fault-withstand rating simplifies panel construction.
Safety Stop Function. The D700 comes standard with a safety stop circuit allowing the removal of a previously required external contactor and is EN951-1 Category 3 and IEC60204-1 Stop Category 0 complaint.
RoHS compliant. Approved for installation on Europe-bound machines.
High accuracy. Analog inputs/outputs provide master/slave control.
“Maintenance free.” Intelligent fan control, fewer moving parts, more robust bus capacitors and custom-made intelligent power modules are all designed to have a 10-year operating life so that users can fit the D700 and forget it.

In the long term the FX3G can be seen as the successor to the FX1N, continuing the concept of combining performance with affordability. The design also considers the effect of backwards compatibly allowing the FX3G to slip into existing FX1N applications with minimal redesign work. Mitsubishi Electric Automation, Inc. is pleased to announce the release of our Q170MCPU stand-alone motion controller. This new controller completely fills the need for a stand-alone unit with built in motion and logic control. The development concept is based on a compact unit with built in power supply, motion and logic control, Ethernet network, external encoder interface and high speed registration inputs enabling OEM’s to design a high-performance system in a more compact footprint. The Q170MCPU also has the ability to be easily integrated into 3rd party control platforms by utilizing the built-in Ethernet network and auxiliary gateway modules such as the ETH-1000 Ethernet IP gateway.
The Q170MCPU has a very high performance motion CPU equivalent to our iQ Platform motion CPU the Q172D and can be connected to our MR-J3-B series servos over Mitsubishi Electric’s servo system control network (SSCNET III). In terms of programming software, MT-Developer2, MR-Configurator and GX-Developer2 may be used with the new motion controller. This allows programming of motion profiles by using sequential functional chart and mechanical editor language, the same as our traditional PLC-based motion controllers. The Q170MCPU shares a common programming language with the Q series, iQ platform and MR-MQ100 (1.5 axis controller) to ensure faster set up and easy programming.
