This compact new safety controller complies with ISO13849-1 PLe and IEC61508 SIL3 safety standards.

The most suitable application of MELSEC-WS is to ensure safe operation of stand-alone machines or systems. To meet your system configuration, it allows you to have additional I/O points of up to 144. Also, you can easily make settings and create logic by using the Setting and Monitoring Tool exclusively provided for the controller.

The WS Safety Controller is programmed using dedicated Function Blocks, and benefits from enhanced diagnostic and communication features when used with EFI-enabled SICK Safety sensors and components. I/O can be expanded with slim-sized 8-in, 8-in/4-out, or 4-out relay modules to control up to 96 safety inputs and 48 safety outputs.

Quickly network the controller to standard control systems like the iQ Platform via Ethernet, and soon CC-Link. Easily replaced Memory Plugs allow users to interchange programs and parameters with ease. The dedicated WS Developer (Safety Controller Setting and Monitoring Tool) software is user-friendly and assists in all steps of development, from system configuration, to drag-and-drop programming, to simulation, and troubleshooting.
